Interfacing

Interfacing comes in a huge variety of options. Below is a small guide with the most common interfacing used in bag making.

• Foam style interfacing: ByAnnies Soft and Stable, Pellon Fusible FlexFoam, Bosal In-R-Form, Easy Foam and Style-Vil.
• Fleece interfacing: Vlieseline H630, Vlieseline H640, Thermolam and Pellon Fusible Thermolam.
• Firm interfacing: Quick2Fuse, Fast2Fuse Heavy, Pellon 71F Peltex I, Pellon 72F Peltex II, Decovil I Heavy and Vildona ST1226.
• Mid-weight interfacing: Decovil I Light, Vildona ST1225, Bouncyfirm and Fast2Fuse Medium.
• Light-weight interfacing: Vlieseline G700, Wovenfix2, QuickFuse Light and Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex.
• Iron-on adhesive: Heat n’ Bond Lite and Vliesofix.

Note! If you can’t iron the foam or fleece interfacing onto your project, you can use spray adhesive or iron-on adhesive to fix the foam onto your project. You can also iron woven interfacing (G700) over the foam to encapsulate it. Then you need to cut the woven interfacing the same size as the pattern part.
