These Wallet Closures are the bars that sit on the top edges of wallets & purses. You put the back on one side and the front (with hole) on the other and pull them together to close your wallet up tight. The flip part clicks in place nicely for security. They are prepackaged and come with 10 screws (8 are needed, 2 are extra). Each bar has protective plastic that needs to be removed during installation. (Some of the plastic is visible in the photos.)
These bar closures are open on each end so they can be used on wallets and bag flaps that are also wider than 7.5" wide. They are not closed at the ends, which would limit them on only 7.5" wallets, you can use them on larger sizes and also bag flaps.
Instructions: Follow the directions in your particular pattern or slide the channels down on to the finished edges of your completed wallet to test fit. Mark holes and if using heavy fabric, poke holes with an awl to allow the screws to enter easily. You will need to cut the opening for the clasp and if desired finish those edges by doing a quick hand or machine basting stitch around them, zig-zag or over cast stitch. Use a small amount of glue in each channel, slide on and insert screws with a mini phillips head screwdriver. The screws are here to anchor it in place while the glue dries, and not meant for complete support. When the screws pass through the glue, they will be secure as well. Primarily, the glue is what keeps your wallet in place. Use a clear drying, fast tack glue, such as Gutermann HT2, E6000, Beacon 3-in-1 or Fabritac.
